  • Ensure the interior of the RV, including the roof, floor, and walls, is clear of any obstacles such as wires or pipes.
  • Safely shut off the gas supply and disconnect the 120 Vac power source from the RV.
  • Before drilling or cutting into the RV, disconnect the positive (+) DC terminal from the supply battery. Failure to adhere to these precautions could result in severe injury or even loss of life.

  • Do not cut into roof structures or rafters; instead, ensure that good rafters are supported by cross beams.

  • The cooling efficiency of an air conditioner is contingent upon various factors:
    • The heat gain of the vehicle

Additionally, using window shades (blinds and/or curtains) can be beneficial. For a more permanent solution to high heat gain situations, contemplate additional vehicle insulation, window awnings, and window glass tinting.
