Can this unit be installed outside of a cabin or RV?

Hello,

The Sun-Mar CenTrex 3000 NE Central Composting Toilet System is mostly made for use indoors, usually in cabins, RVs, or other similar buildings. It might be possible to put it outside, but there are a few things to think about first.

Exposure to the weather: The system might not be well covered from rain, snow, extreme temperatures, or direct sunlight. If it is exposed to these situations, it might not work as well or last as long.

Ventilation: The composting process needs proper ventilation to control odors and promote decomposition. Dedicated ventilation systems are often used in indoor setups. If you put the setup outside, you would have to make sure there was enough and right ventilation.

Accessibility and maintenance: If the device is outside, it might be harder to get to and keep up. If the system is outside, it would be harder to do regular maintenance jobs like adding bulking materials, keeping an eye on the composting process, and taking out the compost.

Local rules: Before putting a composting toilet, it's important to check the rules and building codes in your area. Some places may have rules about how and where these systems can be put in, like how close they can be to water sources, buildings, or land lines.

Propane heater

Is a small propane heater. It works pretty good for a small cabin , RV etc. Dont need electricity. Just a small propane tank. Dont consume alot . A small tank will last about 3 day if you run it at full capacity though the night. No propane small, no carbon monoxide. It has a vent for the out side. But this 8 thousand btu is not for a whole house heat.

We had a complicated set of requirements. The ThinkTank and helpful folks at Tiny House Essentials resolved our conundrum. The ThinkTank just arrived, but we won't install it until late next month. Cabin building in remote areas takes time, after all. If possible, I'll submit an addition to this review (with pics) after we get it installed and use it for a month or so! :-)
