Lightweight, Durable, and Worth Every Penny

I saw a video about these solar panels and had to get a couple. They can take a lot of abuse (watch the Hobotech YouTube review), are lite weight so they make great portable solar panels for camping or boondocking. They are expensive and I only bought 2 but, I consider it in the long run - spreading the cost over time. They have a good chance of lasting 10 years (minimum) so the cost, per year, is only one tenth of the total price. Really, solar panels, if you have a purpose, are a better investment than gold. The panels with the holes only weigh 6 pounds, a kilowatt (5 - 200-watt panels) of these panels would weigh 30 pounds - very portable. I just lay mine out on the ground to charge my solar generator.

Rock Solid and Reliable

I mounted this on top of my ford Maverick to help keep the tiny 12 volt battery from running down when using my strobe lights. I’m getting around 6 amps out on a normal day. I used 3M black double sided tape to stick it to the roof. It works great, ran thru many car washes and doesn’t faze it. I tried mounting it to the roll up bed cover(BAK) ,but it was to stiff for that. I did try a RENOGY controller, that was not working out. I got the Bouge RV controller and works perfect with the app.

Good for No-Drill Installation and Its Impressive Power Output

For those who don't want to drill holes in the roof of their RV, this is a very good option. There are four adhesive strips on the back and the backing strips come off easily without mess even in hot weather. The adhesive is some sort of roofing cement like Henry's or something. Once the panel is laid down, it is not coming up. The panels are very flexible and durable.You can walk on them with no problem. I installed four 200W panels and at high noon. I am getting a total of 670W. Decent.My only real gripe with these are the price. They are spendy. However, Bouge often has deals on these and if you are patient, you might be able to pick these up in the low four hundred range.For me, the BougeRV Yuma 200W CIGS Thin-Film Flexible Solar Panel were a solid winner.

Excited to See Long-Term Results

I was hoping that this would work after the dismal performance of the other 200w CIGS panel I bought.The BougeRV unit arrived on time, well packed, and in good condition. It was overcast, and I first hooked up an ALLPOWERS solar generator to test it...zero watts. Then I hooked up a 400w SUAOKI SOL-GEN and it showed 72 watts. Next a Bluetti 268w SOL-GEN, which showed 172w!The ALLPOWERS is a very mediocre unit in all ways. so I wasn't surprised. It probably has a cheap PWM contgroller.The SAUOKI has either a good PWM, or a weak MPPT charge controller.The Bluetti obviously has a top-notch MPPT controller.Remember this when you test a new panel or other device...a system is only as good as its weakest link!This 200w BougeRV CIGS panel will be mounted on my motorhome roof to replace an 8yo one that has degraded. I have high hopes that it will make a big difference, for a long time.I will update after a few years.

High-Quality Panels with Reliable Support

The Solar panel is made of solid quality and is backed up by BougeRV if there are any issues. I have tried many of their Yuma panels. I found the skinny one is very long. I also would always recommend using the adhesive backing and to seal up the sides if you are using this on a moving vehicle.

Powering my dash four large fish locators live well before this install lead acid battery would start shutting down one after the other by 2 pm had to stop fishing, now with the lithium I have been out 3 times and the battery is still showing 13.54 volts how can that be ? Added a 24 volt lithium to my trolling motor. Out standing performance 11 year warranty less than 20 lbs. They call me the Bass Hunter that I am on the hunt day after day. No bull.

Total Game Changer

I have a 16' lund. The weight reduction due to getting this battery increased my top spread by 1/2 mph. When using the trolling motor at Lake Champlain it lasted all day with out the loss of power that I have experienced when using traditional batteries. As my son would say "Game Changer".

Now Running Strong at 13.3 Volts!

Customer service is very helpful. I am powering my Garmin 126SV and black box only to this battery. Its good to see 13.3 volts on my screen and not having to worry about the voltage on my cranking battery. Before my voltage would get down to 11.4 volts andi would have to start my engine to charge my cranking battery. Has to be hard on the starter and the charging system on the motor. No more worrys of that today.
