The Mr Cool unit is actually very very well made and seems to work perfect. I like dealing with Brian he's very responsive to answering questions and conducts his business like a business which is hard to find nowadays.

Simple to install

We put up the mounting kit and it went well. One thing to do is after you put in your first bolt. slide your hangers on. They will not go on after the bolts are on. That was about the only thing to catch. Also make sure the wall levers are attached at the bottom. you may not need them but they will help you level the brackets. Moving the compressor onto the mounting brackets is definitely a two person job. We got it up on one arm and then adjusted the two brackets. Our unit hangs about 3 feet off the ground. Wanted to do it that way to help keep it clean, I may brace it underneath, not because of the unit, but because I am a belt and suspenders kind of guy. Better to have more than you need than not enough.

Propane heater

Is a small propane heater. It works pretty good for a small cabin , RV etc. Dont need electricity. Just a small propane tank. Dont consume alot . A small tank will last about 3 day if you run it at full capacity though the night. No propane small, no carbon monoxide. It has a vent for the out side. But this 8 thousand btu is not for a whole house heat.

Ideal Solution

We had a complicated set of requirements. The ThinkTank and helpful folks at Tiny House Essentials resolved our conundrum. The ThinkTank just arrived, but we won't install it until late next month. Cabin building in remote areas takes time, after all. If possible, I'll submit an addition to this review (with pics) after we get it installed and use it for a month or so! :-)
